Möller Orthopedic Footwear Technology: Accessible Website
From a variety of outdated websites to a brand-consistent online presence
Möller Bros. GmbH has been an established master craftsman’s business specializing in orthopedic footwear technology since 1955. At its locations in Kiel, Rendsburg, Schleswig, and Flensburg, the company offers orthopedic solutions ranging from insoles and bandages to gait analysis and custom-made shoes. With the change in management, a relaunch of the company’s digital presence was in order. Together with the agency Likadi, the new management team developed a modern brand identity that was also to be reflected on the website. The goal was to simplify the website, expand its content, and enhance it with appealing imagery. At the same time, the aim was to improve search engine visibility and make it easier for users to book appointments and upload prescriptions.
Accessible, cross-site website
Working closely with Möller, we designed a new information architecture for the company’s cross-location online presence. Based on the new corporate design, we developed an accessible website compliant with WCAG 2.1 using a component-based web design and implemented it into the new website system. Technically, the website is built on the headless CMS Strapi and the front-end framework Nuxt.js. We have revised all content and optimized it for search engines. As a result, SEO performance has improved significantly.
Technologies used
Prescription Upload
Möller customers can easily and securely upload their recipes using a form. They select a destination store and provide their contact information. The recipes are transmitted in encrypted form and can be accessed with a password. After review, the branch contacts the submitter directly. This saves them a trip to the branch. We automatically delete the recipes as soon as they are no longer needed.
Online Appointment Scheduling
Customers can easily and flexibly schedule appointments through the website. We use ETermin’s appointment scheduling system for this purpose. This allows users to book, reschedule, or cancel appointments around the clock without having to make a phone call or go through a manual process. The system is user-friendly, secure, and synchronized in real time with Möller’s calendar.
